Prerequisite: We need access to HANA Studio to export the Hana Calculation Views XML files

Note: The following export procedure is based on the 2016 version of SAP HANA Studio. Newer versions may look slightly different, but the overall process remains similar.

A. Open the Export Wizard

  1. In the top-left corner of SAP HANA Studio, click File.
  2. Scroll down and select Export.

B. Select the HANA System and Package to Export

  1. In the export dialog, expand SAP HANA Content.

  2. Choose Developer Mode.

  3. Select your SAP HANA server from the list.

  4. On the left side of the wizard (content tree), expand Content.

  5. Locate the package you want to export.

  1. Select the package (or a specific subfolder such as Calculation Views).
  2. Click Add to move the selected object(s) to the right side (export list).
  3. In the Target Folder field, click Browse.
  4. Select the directory where the exported XML files should be stored.
  5. Confirm the selection.
  6. Click Finish to start the export.

C. Monitor the Export Job

  1. Open the Job Log tab at the bottom of the screen.
